For advisors
Advise people who are ready to move
People from Nigeria, across Africa, South Asia, South-East Asia and Latin America use Japper to find the study, work and visa routes they qualify for. When they need advice on their own case, they book a licensed advisor. That could be you.
Study counsellors welcome too, for admissions and personal statements. No immigration licence needed; you're labelled as a counsellor.

They arrive with a plan
Members have usually mapped their routes, costs and timeline on Japper first. With their consent, you see their plan before the call.
Your prices, your hours
Set services and prices in your currency, and weekly hours in your time zone. Members see them in theirs.
Paid when they book
Members pay upfront through Japper. Your share goes to your Stripe account, or to your Nigerian bank through Paystack.
Host group calls
Run open calls for people heading to a country you cover. Members going there are reminded a day and an hour before.
The money
You keep 80% of your price
Japper's fee is 20% of the price you set, taken when the member pays. Japper members get 10% off, and that discount comes out of Japper's fee, so you're paid the same whoever books.
On a session priced at £100
- A member pays
- £90
- Anyone else pays
- £100
- You receive, either way
- £80
Payouts
Two ways to get paid
Stripe
For bank accounts in most countries and prices in any currency. You verify your identity and add your bank on Stripe's own page; Stripe pays out to your bank on its schedule.
Paystack
For Nigerian bank accounts and prices in naira. We confirm the account name with your bank before anything is set up.
Members can cancel or move for free until 24 hours before a session; after that, you keep the payment. If you cancel, the member is refunded in full.
Verification
Only licensed people give immigration advice here
In the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, only licensed people may give personal immigration advice. We hold everyone on Japper to that, wherever they are.
- 1
You apply with your licence
Name the register and your number on it.
- 2
We check the public register
We look you up on the regulator's own register and keep what we find as evidence.
- 3
A person approves
Someone at Japper reads the evidence. Nobody goes live automatically. We re-check every month.
State barUnited States
Attorney admitted to a US state bar
Lawyers on other national registers can apply too. Study counsellors are checked on identity and two references, and are shown as counsellors, never as immigration advisors.
Good to know
- Do I need a licence?
- For personal immigration advice, yes: from the regulator of the country you advise on. For admissions and personal statements only, apply as a study counsellor.
- Where do sessions happen?
- On your own Google Meet, Zoom or Teams link. We send it to members once they've paid, with reminders a day and an hour before.
- What do I see about the member?
- Their name, what they booked and anything they wrote about the call. If they choose to share it, their Japper plan too: destination, route, intake, progress and a few key answers. Never their documents.
- Who can review me?
- Only members who completed a session with you, once per session. We never add or edit reviews.
- Can members pay me directly?
- No. All payment goes through Japper, so members are protected and you're paid on time. Japper will never ask you to pay for a visa in a chat.
