Refund policy
If Japper isn’t right for you, you can have your money back. Here’s how it works.
1. Membership
Yearly plan. You can ask for a full refund of any payment, including a renewal, within 14 days of the payment. You don’t need to give a reason.
Weekly plan. You can ask for a full refund within 48 hours of the payment. This covers your latest weekly payment only, since an earlier week has already been used. You don’t need to give a reason.
When a refund is made, the time it paid for comes off your membership, and if that leaves none, member features stop. A plan that renews by itself stops renewing.
After these windows we don’t usually refund a membership, but if something went wrong (for example you were charged twice, or a renewal you had turned off went through), tell us and we’ll put it right.
2. How to ask
- In Settings, under Membership, choose “Ask for a refund”, or
- write to hello@japper.app from the email on your account.
We send the refund to the card, bank account or wallet you paid with. How long it takes to reach you depends on your bank or payment provider.
3. Move Packs and other one-off purchases
The refund terms shown before you pay apply. Where none are shown, you can have a full refund within 14 days of paying, as long as no human review (for example of your statement of purpose or CV) has been started for you.
4. Advisor sessions
- Each advisor’s cancellation terms are shown before you book, and apply to that booking.
- If the advisor cancels or doesn’t attend, you get a full refund.
- If you have a problem with a session, tell us within 7 days and we’ll look into it with the advisor.
Advisors’ own obligations are in the advisor terms.
5. Purchases in the Japper app
If you paid through the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google took the payment, and refunds go through them under their rules. Ask Apple or Google directly; we’re happy to help if you get stuck.
6. Your legal rights
This policy adds to your rights under consumer law where you live; it doesn’t take any away. If the law gives you a longer or better right to a refund, that applies.
