Refer and earn terms

Japper Premium Members with an account in good standing can refer friends. People the Japper team invites as ambassadors (for example campus ambassadors and creators) can too, at the rates agreed with them.

Japper staff can't earn rewards. You must be 18 or over and able to receive payments to a bank account in Nigeria in your own name to withdraw.

When someone who joined through your link or code makes their first membership payment, you earn ₦1,500 for a monthly plan or ₦8,000 for a yearly plan. Only the first payment counts; renewals, free trials and payments that are later refunded don't.

Your friend gets ₦2,000 off their first membership payment on the web. Purchases in the App Store or Google Play still earn you the reward, without the discount.

A payment in another currency earns the same reward in naira, or the amount set for that currency.

A reward is pending for 14 days after your friend pays. If the payment isn't refunded or charged back in that time, it becomes available.

You can withdraw an available balance of ₦5,000 or more to a Nigerian bank account in your name through our payments partner. Your first withdrawal is checked by the Japper team before it is sent; later withdrawals go out automatically. You can also use your balance on your own membership renewal on the web.

If a friend's payment is refunded or charged back after the reward became available, the reward comes off your balance, which can go below zero until new rewards cover it.

Referring yourself doesn't count, including accounts that share your email address, phone number, device, payment card or bank account, or more than one account for the same person.

We limit how many sign-ups and rewards each person can earn in a day, and may hold rewards for a check. Spam, misleading messages, paid ads on the Japper name and offering cash to sign up aren't allowed.

If we find abuse we can take back rewards, hold or cancel withdrawals, and remove you from the programme. If you think we got it wrong, write to Support.

We may change the rewards, the discount, the hold, the minimum withdrawal or these terms, or end the programme. Changes apply to friends who join after the change; anything you have already earned stays yours, subject to these terms. We'll tell members about changes before they apply.

Rewards may be income where you live. You're responsible for any tax on them.
