Advisor sessions

• Japper advisor. On the Japper team. Japper takes the payment and stands behind the booking.
• Independent advisor. Runs their own practice and is listed on Japper. What they advise is their own. Japper takes the payment for them and passes on their share.

• In the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand only licensed people may advise on your immigration case. An immigration advisor is listed for those countries only with a licence from that country’s regulator.
• We look every licence up on the regulator’s official public register before the advisor can take bookings, and check it again every month. A person at Japper approves every advisor; nobody is listed automatically.
• Each profile shows the licence number and links to the register, so you can check it yourself.
• Study counsellors help with admissions and applications, which needs no immigration licence.

What an advisor tells you in a session is their own professional advice, not Japper's. Japper does not give legal advice and cannot promise any visa, admission or job.

• You see the full price, in your currency where the advisor has set one, before you pay. Members pay less, and the advisor is paid the same either way.
• Sessions are paid on japper.app by card through Stripe, or through Paystack in Nigeria. In the Japper app the payment opens in a secure browser window; it isn’t an App Store or Google Play purchase.
• Japper will never ask you to pay for a visa in a chat.

• Free to cancel or move up to 24 hours before the session. You get a full refund.
• Cancel later than that and the session isn't refunded, because the advisor kept the time for you.
• If the advisor cancels or doesn't join, you get a full refund.
• Paid by card through Stripe, or Paystack in Nigeria. Never pay an advisor anywhere else.

You’ll find your sessions under My sessions on the web, or Profile, My sessions in the app. The full refund policy applies too, and doesn’t take away any right you have under consumer law.
