Get an Admission Letter from a school or other entity in China and Form JW201 or JW202.

Gather your other documents
Prepare your passport and identity photo, plus proof of legal stay or residence status if you are not a Zambian citizen.

Apply
Complete the online application
Register on the China Online Visa Application website, select “Africa – Zambia – Lusaka”, complete the form and upload the required documents.

Track the application
Check its status and amend the form or upload further documents if instructed until the application is approved online.

Submit your passport
After the online notification, submit your passport to the Chinese Embassy's Consular Section in Lusaka; X1 applicants are subject to fingerprint collection.

Pay the visa fee
Use the collection slip to pay the applicable visa fee at the Bank of China and obtain a receipt.

Take the receipt to the Consular Section to collect your passport and check the documents before leaving.

Enter before the visa's stated expiry date while it still has an unused entry.
